Mildred doesn’t want to be part of the popular crowd. Nor does she care about her “death-enemy.” And she certainly has no interest in murderous spells. But if the teachers catch on that she’s actually a good witch . . . well, they don’t react well to that kind of ignominy.

Dekker’s Dozen: The Last Watchmen Dekker’s Dozen – Book 1
by Christopher D Schmitz Genre: SciFi , Fantasy
Following the Intergalactic Singularity War, Dekker Knight, mercenary and collector of arcane artifacts, works for the highest bidder—but he doesn’t take just any job. One in particular, transporting Austicon, the assassin who stalked his family for generations to a max-lock detention, was supposed to close a dark chapter of Dekker’s life.
After the constables botched Austicon’s incarceration, Dekker’s team is forced to hunt down the galaxies’ most heinous criminal all over again when a mysterious man claiming to be an ancient, time-traveling prophet intrudes on them. Ezekiel claims Dekker will soon annihilate of all reality—and he knows all of Dekker’s secrets: that he wields an ancient, celestial weapon, was once married to a terrorist, and is the last member of the Watchmen—an ancient secret society with roots tracing back to Solomon.
Following the Austicon’s theft of a superweapon, Dekker and his team must do the unthinkable to prevent the Earth’s annihilation. Worse yet, a demon-possessed tree is attempting to bring “the divine engines of reality” to a grinding halt—destroying all of existence with the death of the planet—annihilating all that is, will be, and ever was!
Steampunk time-travel, cyborg ninjas, deep space unicorn zombies, ghostly rocket-ships, and star destroying Hassidic super-weapons converge in one epic story! How long can The Dozen escape death? How far can Dekker go in defiance of fate and pursuit of love before his actions break the universe?…also download the FREE prequel to this story on Kindle–Dekker’s Dozen: A Waxing Arbolean Moon
Dekker’s Dozen : A Waxing Arbolean Moon Dekker’s Dozen Companion Novel by Christopher D Schmitz
The demon Dione existed before the dawn of time. Surely she was created alongside the very Divine Machine she came to loathe so much. From Dione’s seduction by Asmodeus and imprisonment at the hands of King Solomon to her release by an unwitting archaeologist, the timeline is punctuated with the baal’s influence and its counters by the time-traveling Ezekiel who repels the Arbolean invasion during the infancy of the Akkadian Empire with the weapons of an ancient Greek tinkerer.
Spanning the dawn of creation and the planting of the Circle of Seven to the day Dekker Knight meets Vesuvius Briggs, A Waxing Arbolean Moon fills in all gaps in the fractured timeline of Dekker’s Dozen: The Last Watchmen and functions as either Prologue or Epilogue depending on how you choose to look at it.
Before the chaos of steampunk time-travel, cyborg ninjas, plant-spore-controlled unicorn zombies, ghost warships, and Hassidic superweapons of The Last Watchmen, A Waxing Arbolean Moon pulls back the curtain on the galactic and celestial backstories.
A Waxing Arbolean Moon is best read in conjunction with The Last Watchmen as a companion piece and may be difficult to follow without familiarity with the full novel.

My Review:
Crossing Lines by Melanie Mason is an entertaining story of a bomber that falls down in enemy territory during WWII. I enjoyed the telling of this story that is not filled with horrible details and atrocities of war. It focuses more on the two men that escape from certain death and follows them to the end of the book. It has suspense and romance but neither is overpowering or becomes routine. Crossing Lines by Melanie Mason is a story that grips you from the beginning and doesn’t let you go. This clean tale will entertain all readers and mostly those who love a good, light war story mixed with romance.
Crossing Lines by Melanie Mason is about two American airmen that have to parachute from their airplane after a bomber excursion into enemy territory. It takes us through their narrow escape from death, the Nazi’s investigation of the crash, the help they find in a beautiful Austrian woman and her mother and their struggles to keep their faith strong in the light of imminent danger. This is an inspiring great read that is sure to become your favorite for years to come.
One thing I noticed with this story is that the pacing was faster than many other WWII stories I have read. I didn’t find any time that the descriptions got on the way of the telling. I enjoyed visualizing the different places and even the characters in my mind. What a super read!

Knghts of Enmity by Sedrie Danielle Genre: Urban Fantasy
Fall into the magic, action and ever spiraling chaos that is the Knights of Enmity!
Never had there been a time when enmity did not exist between Man and Angels. During the time of the Light Wars, the ancient Order of the Grigori blessed 9 sons of Adam with the power to defeat Gabriel’s hordes. The 9 founded the first of the 33 Orders of Man who swore to protect Earth from the wrath of Heaven.
Rufus Sosius, leads the degenerative Black Knights of the Order of Magia Chaotica; the most powerful of the 33 Orders of Man. While each Knight has taken a vow to maintain the balance of light and darkness in the world while upholding the will of the Council of 9, they find themselves ensnared in the drama of life as a series of bad decisions and fleshly weaknesses creates enmity between the Orders.
Dante the Seer has a vision of the coming war and warns Rufus Sosius of the Prophet’s errored interpretation which lead him to the idea of awakening the sheeple, the common man, to the world of magic. Against the advice of the Council, the Prophet awakens the masses but quickly finds out he was wrong by doing so.
As agitation amongst the Orders rises, Heaven has sounded the horns of the Reckoning as foretold in Revelation. Heaven descends upon the lower realms, it is Lord Samedi and his Barons who meet Heaven’s swords with their own.

This book is written for anyone who has a genuine desire to move forward in their lives but, despite numerous attempts, nothing seems to be working and you keep ending up with the same outcomes year after year. You will learn how to recognize habitual patterns of thought that are sabotaging your life on an unconscious level. Everyone has good intentions for their lives and ultimately wants the best outcomes, but oftentimes we get in our own way by allowing self-destructive thought patterns to impede our good intentions—without actually knowing we are doing so. I know this all too well because this was my life for several years.
This book was written because of my own personal experiences in life, and the experiences of my clients that I serve in my practice. This book gets right down to your core by unveiling the good, the bad, and the ugly about the way you think about yourself and everything that is happening in your life. In essence, this book is entirely about YOU! Most of us try to change ourselves at the level of our thoughts, but true transformation happens at the level at which you vibrate. You will learn how to completely shift your vibrational way of thinking and allow better circumstances to come into your life, whatever they may be. Whether you want to get unstuck in a relationship pattern or a financial pattern that keeps coming up, this book serves as a guide that will explore the moments when you get into trouble, and offers tools for learning to stay with your uneasiness, and offers concrete steps to get unstuck so you can finally move forward in life.
You will learn the O.P.E.N.U.P. steps: Observation, Permission, Experience, Not Identifying, Understanding, and Practice. These steps will serve as your doorway into revealing the very thing that is keeping you stuck. Once you discover those “hidden” truths about yourself, your entire state of being will be altered, and you will no longer resist all the good that life has in store for you.
Excerpt:
It was tough to fight the urge to return to my ex-partner, who tirelessly tried to maintain the relationship months after it was over. However, deep within me, my paradigms were beginning to shift: the more I did the work on myself, the more self-love I felt, and I could feel the shift in my energy. As my “antennas†were being re-wired, I found myself becoming naturally drawn to different types of people and experiences.

           A
Carolina Christmas isn’t your traditional holiday feast of tinsel and sugar
plums. While there is still a smattering of stars sprinkled through the pages
and a little glitter and artificial snow lighting up a few plastic Santas,
these stories are filled with more than ornaments and figgy pudding. From
broken hearts to hopeful reunions, holiday anxiety to joyful tidings, the
truest gift of Christmas is still found to be family, faith and friendship. But
these stories are not fairy tales and every holiday is not Peace on Earth.

When charming rake Tristan Barrett sweeps Lady Elizabeth off her feet, stealing both her heart and a kiss in a secluded garden, her brother challenges Tristan to a duel. The only way to save her brother and Tristan from harm—not to mention preserve her reputation—is to get married. But her father, the Duke of Pemberton, refuses to allow his daughter to marry anyone but a titled lord. The duke demands that Elizabeth marry Tristan’s older brother, Richard, the Earl of Averston. Now Elizabeth must give up Tristan to marry a man who despises her, a man who loves another, a man she’ll never love.Richard fears Elizabeth is as untrustworthy as his mother, who ran off with another man. However, to protect his brother from a duel and their family name from further scandal, he agrees to the wedding, certain his new bride will betray him. Yet when Elizabeth turns his house upside down and worms her way into his reluctant heart, Richard suspects he can’t live without his new countess. Will she stay with him or is it too little, too late?
My Review:
Courting the Countess by Donna Hatch
This is a great tale about a young lady who gets caught in a compromising encounter with a notorious gigolo. Because the rascal is a second son, her father demands that his older brother, Richard Barrett, twelfth Earl of Averston, marry the girl. All the while Elizabeth hopes that Tristan will come through and elope with her, his true love. To her utter distress, Tristan has taken to his passion of wooing any woman that needs some loving.
The tale is not a new theme but is delivered powerfully and entertainingly. The characters are round and believable and stay true to their roles. I enjoyed the reading and the clean tale in this book. Courting the Countess by Donna Hutch is indeed a great read and a wholesome entertainment. I recommend it to those who enjoy clean historical romances and any young adult that enjoys this genre.

The 3rd book in the 1st of several trilogies featuring Maura & her family!Â
Maura has never felt so alone in her life…nor has her existence ever been so overshadowed by peril…Not only do both her parents—her distant but loving mother and recently- returned father—remain absent from her life, but due to the hideous error in judgement executed in collusion with her best friend, Valdamir, and adoptive sister, Susie, Maura has been cut off from the pair’s friendship and support, forbidden by both her father and the fallout from the dire outcome to see either of them. The heartbreak she suffers, brought on by the weight of these estrangements, is only intensified by the continued mysterious absence of her supernaturally-destined mate, Ron…whose disappearance delivers grave consequences Maura would have never dreamed possible…
Despised by her vampire cousin, Aldiva, for reasons Maura cannot yet comprehend, the young changeling will be forced to guard her back with every step, as she comes to realize this member of her vampire family would love nothing more than to bring about her demise. Aldiva’s wrath calls forth other members from both Vancouver covens, forcing them to rush to Maura’s aid—even though her father, their king, has expressly forbidden the other vampires to initiate contact with his daughter. Will her extended family on Vancouver Island obey, abandoning Maura to her doom, or will they instead rebel against Maxwell’s wishes in order to save her life?
In addition to the menace personified in her unsolicited enemy, the unlikely vampire princess will find herself drowning as she is pulled down into the depths of a far more devastating crisis…one which may condemn her to a fate she considers much more undesirable than death. But in order to tear herself free from the deadly pull which is drawing her under, Maura must enlist the help of her preternatural family, exposing her newfound friends to a danger none of them have ever had the misfortune to face before. Can she be saved or will the riptide drag Maura under…along with those she loves the most…
In this third and final book of The Maura DeLuca Trilogy, the first of several trilogies to come, the reader will delve even deeper into the secrets guarded by Maura’s father, the mystery of Ron’s role in her life and the identities of the mysterious Vancouver Island Coven members who have, up until now, remained hidden in the shadows. This trilogy rounds out the segment of Maura’s life during which she discovers she is a member of The Born—a human destined to complete her transformation into a vampire! This series of young adult fantasy novels has been enjoyed by readers of nearly every age and are found by them to be dramatically different from any other vampire books they have read in the past. Discover a magical world filled with fae, angels, elves, pixies and other enchanting creatures in addition to two families made up of some of the most likeable vampires—for the most part—to ever exist.
The bus
ride was the longest leg of my trip, almost forty-five minutes in length, so I
arrived at my stop even more exhausted—and hungry—than I’d already been. I was
still worrying over showing up late to lab, adding further to the list of my
crimes, so I was completely caught off guard when the too-pale, too-cold hand
shot out to claim my wrist as I hurried past the giant pine after crossing the
street.
*Aldiva!*
I thought. She’d caught me alone, just as she’d threatened she would. Winter
clamped down over my mouth before I could alert the smattering of students,
rushing off to their own classes in a panic, to my perilous situation. I
struggled against the frozen, vice-like grips which held me, though I knew
there was no point in doing so.

A wife for hire, turned into his most precious possession.

Falling in love with sleeping beauty.
Piper first saw him in the ER after a gruesome accident, she watched over him for several days, finding something new to love each day. So when he finally wakes up and asks her to marry him, she obviously said yes. Piper just didn’t know that this fairy tale, didn’t end with a Happily Ever After.
Check out all of M.O. Kenyan book on Amazon below.
Reading,Writing,Romance, Creativity and Imagination. These are the words that describe my work. I was born in Nairobi Kenya and had a passion for books ever since I could remember. Romance and love have always been a strange phenomenon for me. I have always wanted to change the ending of a love story. I decided to start writing my own.Â
Ever since Piper had her melt down when he held her, Drew had been terrified of being left alone with her. He didn’t know what to do if he had another episode. And since Amanda handled the first one so well, he nodded in agreement and let her take the reins from his hands. Ever since his accident it seemed to him that his friends were having an easier and better experience when it came to handling some aspects of his life.
“Maya, why don’t you go with Amanda,†Leo asked.
“Of course dear.â€
His mother’s expression mirrored his won. Drew knew something was up and the only reason Leo basically asked his mother to leave them alone was because what he had to tell him would probably upset her.
“Do I want to know?†Drew asked once the women were out of earshot.
“No, I don’t even want to know. But-,†Leo cleared his throat and pulled down his v-neck t-shirt collar. “Someone told the board that you are getting a divorce.â€
“What!â€
“That same person happened to tell page six the same story.â€
Drew paced the width of his narrow driveway. “I can’t believe this. If Piper even thinks that I am not here to support her… she will be crushed. You have to kill the story.â€
“I am proud that Piper was the first person that came to mind, as your friend. But as your lawyer, I have to tell you that this rumor has the board thinking about taking away your inheritance.â€
“Who even started the rumor? No one but us and a few hospital staff know. You did make them sign a confidentiality agreement.â€
“Of course.â€
“Then who?â€
“Drew!†A panicked Amanda ran towards them.
“What is it?†Every muscle in Drew’s body tensed as he waited for Amanda to tell him the latest thing that had gone terribly wrong in his life.
“Piper is missing. We can’t find her.â€
“What do you mean missing,†Drew talked and jogged at the same time. “This is a closed estate, the only way in and out is through the front gate. She must be here somewhere.â€
“We have to find her, you heard what Lacey said.â€
Drew’s jog turned into a run, his heart beating loudly in his ears and his lips moved as he said a prayer. He didn’t know if it was God’s intervention or what. As everyone ran into the garden, Drew took a detour towards the pool house. Even though his heart stopped at the sight before him, his legs didn’t. He saw Piper’s hair float at the surface of the pool as the rest of her was submerged and still. Drew ran into the water, her wrapped his arms around her and forced her head out.
Drew pushed her hair out of her eyes, his hands cupping her face. “Baby, are you okay? What were you doing?†He held her tightly and felt her slender arms lock behind his head. Piper cried and coughed and Drew didn’t think he had ever heard a more beautiful sound.

Rachel Schieffelbein Top Ten List
Top Ten Fairy Tales:
The Little Mermaid. The original story is much different from the Disney one, and I enjoy them both. The mermaid’s motivation for becoming human in the original story is quite interesting.
Sleeping Beauty. I love the Disney version of this one. Merriweather was always my favorite fairy. Plus I love Prince Philip.
Thumbelina. If you’ve never seen the animated version of this, you should. It’s wonderful.
The Six Swans. I love the princess in this story. She’s brave and selfless. And I kind of love that it’s a girl saving all her brothers.
Snow White and Rose Red. This is another one I’d love to do a retelling of some day. Not a lot of people are familiar with the story.
Cinderella. There are so many wonderful retellings of Cinderella, it’s hard to pick a favorite.
The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I’ve always found this one fascinating. The whole underground world the princesses visit, it’s so dark and mysterious.
Snow White. I’d love to write a version of this story completely from the Evil Queen’s perspective.
Beauty and the Beast, especially the Disney version. Belle IS the best Disney princess.
Rapunzel. I remember having this read to me as a young child and it’s one that just stayed close to my heart. That’s why I wanted to do a contemporary retelling of it.
The author:
Rachel grew up in a tiny town in Minnesota. She still lives there, with her husband and their four kids. She coaches high school speech and theater, rides Arabian horses, reads as much as she can, and writes stories
Nichole Giles, the author of DESCENDANT, BIRTHRIGHT, and WATER SO DEEP, has lived in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Texas. She is a huge fan of all things paranormal and magical. Her dreams include owning a garden full of fairies, riding a unicorn, and taming the pet dragon she adopted at a recent local ComiCon. His name is Zane. She also loves to spend time with her husband and four children, travel to tropical and exotic destinations, drive in the rain with the convertible top down, and play music at full volume so she can sing along.
Q&A With the Author:
1.    Describe yourself in 50 words or less.
An introverted socialite who gives out hugs for free, young-looking, old-feeling mother of the bride x2, justice-seeking, judgment-hating, preacher of compassion and spreading love. Creative and scatterbrained, lives a life of organized chaos. Free-spirited, sun-worshiping summer lover. Down with winter!Â
2. What do you love most in the world?
My family. And
then probably the ocean.
3.    What do you fear most?
Losing my loved ones, despite a deep understanding/belief that death is not the end. We’ve lost
a lot of them over the last few years—and even knowing that doesn’t temper the ache of missing those who have moved on. Also, I think taxes. Because isn’t that what people always say? Death and taxes?Â
After the chaos of Mexico, Abby and Kye have lost everything but each other. They’re on the run with no purpose, no allies, and very little money. To make things worse, Abby’s wound from the Arawn Dagger is draining her power, leaving her unable to access her Light, or her Healing ability. While the hunt for her long-lost father takes them back through Abby’s childhood homes, they’re forced to question everything they’ve been taught and everyone they’ve ever trusted—including each other. After a desperate attempt to Heal Abby’s wound goes horribly awry, and with the demons they thought they’d lost hot on their heels, the star-crossed couple is forced to face some painful realities that will change life for everyone they know.
When Abby’s best friend is kidnapped by demons, Abby and Kye abandon their search and launch a rescue attempt that morphs into a battle, the outcome of which will determine if Abby and her friends have what it takes to rid the world of demons, or if the royal bloodline and the Gifted generation will be obliterated once and for all.
Once we’re checked in, I follow Kye to the elevator and down the
hall to our room, dragging my suitcase behind me. He opens the door and waves
me ahead of him. Dropping my bags on the floor, I stumble to the bed and fall
backward onto it to stare at the ceiling. Kye’s face appears above mine. “You
okay?â€
             I nod. “Exhausted. But I’ll live.â€
His smile eases some of the
tension between us. “I hope so. If you didn’t, I couldn’t.†He sits next to me
and runs his fingers down my jaw, across my cheek. “I thought it would be good
to have some time alone. We should talk before we get to Kiersten’s.â€
We’ve been alone since we left. My stomach twists with anxiety, and
I can’t prevent the catch in my voice. “More confessions?â€
             His fingers keep moving, tracing
my collar bone and shoulder. “No. But I think we need to at least try to make a
plan, figure out where we’re going—what comes next. Sleeping arrangements.†He
glances meaningfully at the pillows. “Didn’t occur to me until now that maybe I
should ask for a double. We’ve been sharing for long enough that I just
assumed.â€
